Meet The Team
Alex Payne
Alex, originally from London, England, has been in the IT field since he was 17. He holds a Master of Engineering in Information Systems from the University of Surrey. After gaining experience and multiple certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and others in London, he moved to Los Angeles to work at an ISP managing networks and helpdesk operations. In 2001, Alex founded Techital to fill a market gap. The company offers managed IT services with a people-centric approach, focusing on understanding and meeting client needs with personalized and effective solutions.
Maria Torres
Maria, originally from Lima, Peru, earned her bachelor's degree in nursing before moving to the United States after getting married. She later obtained US citizenship and became a proud mother of two daughters. In the US, Maria also earned an associate's degree in computer science. She enjoys trying new foods, activities, and pastimes, including swimming, hiking and tae-bo. Maria lives by her father's advice: "Do not be afraid to try. Never give up. Try again if you don't succeed." She believes that knowledge and faith are powerful tools, and values the importance of looking, listening, and learning.
Sim Singh
Sim has been a Systems Engineer for over 14 years, bringing extensive experience and expertise to the field. His role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex computer systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. Sim is passionate about technology and is adept at solving challenging technical problems. In addition to his passion for technology, Sim enjoys spending time in nature, often hiking, exploring, and finding peace in the outdoors. This balance between technology and the natural world enriches his life both professionally and personally.
Camille Adams
Camille serves as the Techital dispatcher and is likely the first person you'll speak with when you call for technical support. She brings five years of dispatching experience to the role, combining her technical knowledge with a genuine passion for assisting others. Camille is committed to ensuring that every caller receives the help they need efficiently and effectively.. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano and guitar, adores her cats, and loves spending weekends at the beach with her fiancé.
Joseph Marbella
Joseph is a dedicated Helpdesk Technician with a strong background in customer service. With years of experience, Joseph excels at assisting users with technical issues, providing clear and empathetic support. His passion for helping people and solving problems makes him an invaluable member of the helpdesk team. Outside of work, Joseph and his wife enjoy exploring new restaurants and cuisines as dedicated foodies. He also takes great pride in being a father to his sweet and smart daughter, who brings joy to his life. Joseph's warm and approachable nature shines through in his professional and personal interactions.
Ed Avaness
Ed has over 25 years of experience in IT and currently serves as the Professional Services Manager. He is responsible for leading a team in delivering high-quality technical solutions and services. Ed's deep industry knowledge helps him effectively manage complex IT projects and meet client needs. In his personal life, Ed enjoys spending quality time with his family. He loves going to the beach, participating in outdoor activities, and barbequing. He values a balance between work and personal interests, finding joy in both his professional achievements and family time.
Tony Hartounian
Tony has over 7 years of experience at Techital, during which he has held various roles. He is currently the Service Manager, overseeing the Help Desk operations team. His diverse experience has provided him with a strong understanding of the company's operations and culture. Outside of work, Tony enjoys immersing himself in the vibrant world of live music and is an enthusiast of whisky tasting. He also has a playful side, often joking about his singing abilities. Tony's blend of professional dedication and lively personality makes him a well-rounded and engaging leader within the company.
Tyler Russo
Tyler is a Helpdesk Technician with three years of experience at Techital. He is skilled in providing technical support and solving a wide range of IT issues Outside of work, he enjoys camping and spending time with animals. When he's not working, Tyler often plays games with friends or cares for his pets. His combination of technical skills and personal interests makes him a well-rounded team member at Techital.
Nikolas Dorhoutmees
Nikolas is a Helpdesk Technician at Techital, bringing experience in the IT field since 2021. As a native of Los Angeles, he is deeply familiar with the city's vibrant culture and coastal lifestyle. Outside of work, Nikolas enjoys spending his free time at the beach and exploring the ocean through scuba diving. He also has a passion for culinary adventures, particularly enjoying the thrill of eating unreasonably spicy food. Nikolas's diverse interests and dedication to his work make him a well-rounded and engaging member of the Techital team.
Andrew Aquirre
Andrew serves as the Texas Field Engineer for Techital, bringing six years of experience in the IT field. In his role, Andrew is responsible for managing on-site technical services, ensuring efficient operations, and resolving any field-related IT issues for clients. In his free time, Andrew enjoys bass fishing and listening to music, especially in the cooler fall months. His blend of technical skills and personal hobbies makes him a valuable member of the Techital team.
